The Baruch College Fund (BCF) raised nearly $1.2 million at its annual Bernard Baruch Dinner, held on April 23 at New York City’s Ziegfeld Ballroom.
Now in its ninth consecutive year surpassing the $1 million mark, the event supports critical student resources including career services, classroom technology, emergency grants, and more. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, the school’s namesake, Austin Marxe (’65), issued a special scholarship challenge—tripling all gifts for Marxe student scholarships. This initiative raised over $320,000 to support the next generation of public service leaders.
This year’s honorees were George E. Roach (’71), CEO of GER Industries, who received the Distinguished Alumnus Award, and Jacky Wright (’86), Chief Technology and Platform Officer at McKinsey & Company, recipient of the Distinguished Alumna Award.
